Sonoma.

We woke to a beautiful morning in San Francisco. After grabbing breakfast and a rental car, we headed to Golden Gate Park's de young museum for the Chihuly exhibit. It was incredible! While we've seen many of his pieces scattered around the Puget Sound area (as well as a couple in the midwest), we had only seen one big exhibition of his work prior to now (back in Chicago many years ago). That exhibit was set in a garden, but this was installations in a gallery setting. It was unbelievable, too. The use of reflection and lighting really made the pieces come to life. And the color... seriously gave me a momentary bout of Stendhal syndrome.

After spending too many hours in the exhibit, we drove to our rental house in Sonoma. We popped off at the Golden Gate Bridge and In-N-Out Burger (yum!). The sun is shining here and it is gorgeous. Definitely reminiscent of Tuscany, the area surely has a lot in store for us tomorrow. We finished up our evening with dinner at the girl & the fig. The place has a "salon du fromage". Enough said!
